Who is Holy Community?
Our name communicates well the sense of calling that this church shares – to be a “Holy Community.” We exist to be, not just a sacred shrine or temple house, but to be a place of authentic human relationship. These human relationships, however, are not purposeless; they are an expression of the called nature of a people committed to worshipping and following the Living God.
Holy Community. A Divinely created and called body; a messy organization of regular people.

Ultimately, it is God who brings both of these elements to expression – it is God who calls people and makes them holy, and it is God who binds human beings together in loving community.

1 Thessalonians 2:8 has become an important and centering piece of Scripture for HCCC as we seek to express what it might mean to live faithfully as this kind of Holy Community:

“We loved you so much that we shared with you not only God’s Good News but our own lives, too.”
– 1 Thessalonians 2:8
