Holy Community Covenant Church is a community that values:
  • Truth - authentically seeking out God's story and wisdom
  • Hospitality - making room for one another
  • Growth - taking new steps in life and faith together
  • Generosity - sharing our lives through charity and service

We are a part of a larger family of churches - the Evangelical Covenant Church. This family of churches affirms six simple "affirmations" that are reflective of our unique history as a denomination. They are not merely a statement of faith, but express our approach to our life as a community.

1.    The Centrality of the Word:  We are a community rooted in Scripture. We read these ancient words together, dialogue about them, and allow them to shape our understanding of God, ourselves, our neighbours, our world, and our faith.
2.    The Necessity of New Life in Christ: We are a community oriented around Jesus – His story and life are the basis of our story and life.

3.    A Commitment to the Whole Mission of the Church: We are a community devoted to service, formation, and loving God and neighbour.  We seek to give generously of our time, talents, and treasures in participation with God's work in the world.

4.    The Fellowship of Believers: We are a community whose members share life with one another. We are not perfect, but we are a growing family who seeks to live into the name "Holy Community."
5.    A Conscious Dependence on the Holy Spirit: We are a community who lives in faith, trusting God to guide us. We hold our own perceptions and plans loosely, seeking to be adaptable and useful to God in our evolving context.
6.    The Reality of Freedom in Christ: We are a community of hospitality, extending to others the freedom Christ has given us.  We are not a uniform group, but rather a diverse one where we make room for any and all who would come.
